Forestry Law of Cameroon

Law no 94/01 of 20 January 1994 to lay down forestry, wildlife and fisheries regulations offers a lot of benefits to the local communities in the event of the exploitation of communal  forest located on the their land

As concerns the sale of standing volume the forestry law stipulates that the local communities, while waiting for the approval of their application for the attribution of the communities forest, shall be entitled to two types of benefits, namely

Annual forest fees whose rate shall be fixed by the finance law. To this effect, Law no.97/014 of 18 July 1997 to lay down the finance law of the republic of Cameroon for the 1997/1998 financial year, fixes this fee at the sum of 2500 CFA F per hectare............
